Equitable Access to Technology in the Community and Home Environments:

The technology available to the students outside of the school is either at the local library, school library and at their personal home computers.

How many students in your classroom have computers at home? Do they have Internet access?

I surveyed my class that I am in this week and it is a fifth grade class. This class has twenty students in the class. I asked them who all had computers at home and who had internet access. All but one of the students had personal computers and internet access.

For the student who did not have computer/internet access at the home, where can they access these? Give specific information.

I spoke with the student and asked her what see did when she needed the internet and she said she would either use the school library, local library or sometimes stay after school and use the computer in her class. She did not seem to see it a problem not having a computer or internet.
