The Navigators!
Rationale (Theory):
Our group met together and talked about different topics. Once we decided on a topic we brainstormed activities and talked over ideas. We decided that we would each come up with an activity related to the TEKS that we chose and decided to regroup later. When we got back together we discussed our activities with each other and added other ideas that might be helpful in each other’s activities. We decided on geography because we realized that students often are not aware about the world that they live in. Children need to realize that understanding the geography of the land and world is an important part of living on this Earth.
Why did we choose this topic?
Children need to be more knowledgeable about the world around them.
It is a fun and interesting topic to explore.
This bulletin board fits in with geography in the social studies strands.
“Team Building” is presented by this group. We each took a part and pulled our own weight. We talked things over until we felt that everyone was comfortable with the topic and activities.
