Students conduct survey by asking neighbors and local community members how many of them spay and neuter their pets. Students input data into Excel chart/graph.

 Students research on internet Houston's overpopulation of cats and dogs and how it affects the community.  Students research on internet an organization that provides free assistance in spaying and neutering pets.

 Students write letter and/or email state representative to support our concern of spaying and neutering.

 Students take field trip to local SPCA Shelter and take digital photographs of homeless animals.  Students will make a web photo gallery in Photoshop Elements and link it to the class webpage. 

 Students develop a PowerPoint presentation which will provide information on pet overpopulation.  PowerPoint will be inserted into class website.
