Position Statement for Jennifer-Melissa-Amanda-Erika

     
Professional teaching takes skill, knowledge, and proper, thorough training to accomplish.  Alternative programs accelerate their candidates quickly into the classroom.  Current legislation, NCLB, and society demand that students make yearly progress toward state goals.  Teachers must know how best to teach and reteach their students to achieve this goal.  One of the essential tools a teacher needs to possess is technology knowledge and willingness to use technology in the classroom.  Technology is vital to teaching and to living in today's world.  We have found that teachers can integrate technology into all points of a lesson.  Technology can and should be used to teach any grade level and any subject.  Appropriate pre-service training in technology integration is a crucial component of any certification program.
