The butterfly's process of change fascinates us because it is both natural and dramatic. (Dr. Mary Thompson)
I did not just wake up one morning and realize that I wanted to become a teacher, especially not a middle school teacher. You may be surprised to know the developments I have gone through to reach this point. Many different experiences have influenced my decisions, and I hope you enjoy browsing through my portfolio to discover them for yourself. This self portfolio began as a project for my "Teaching in the Middle and Secondary Schools" (SEDE 4312), with Dr. Williams-Smith as the professor.
My Development as:
an English/Language Arts teacher
Textbook Chapter Reflections: My Teaching Philosophy: As a teacher, I will make every effort to reach each student both academically and emotionally. I will challenge each student to his or her highest potential and never let them give up. My students will be excited about learning and will see the importance of continuing to improve. English/Language Arts will show them how to be independent thinkers as well as creative in many aspects of learning.
Take me to Allison's Technology Portfolio!
