This site allows for students to come and explore science.  It has a variety of activities for students as well as a variety of tools for educators.

This is a fun website for students who either enjoy poetry or want to explore it.  This site offers tons of fun poetry that is sure to make you giggle!  Teachers can share these with the class also.

English teachers will find this site helpful because it offers many different types of English lesson plans.  The best part is that all grade levels are addressed.

The Harris County Public Library is a great resource for reading.  By going onto the website, anyone can find a book that suits their interests!  They can also locate the nearest library.

EDCompass offers a list of resources such as lesson activities and software resources.  This site is in relation to SMART Technologies.  I think it's interesting to check out because I can stay updated with the latest SMART advances. I hope to one day have a SMART Board in my classroom.

This is a good place for teachers to come to learn about the grants available that can possibly lead to technology being placed in your school or classroom.  It also offers a program for teachers to attend in Canada, which in the end, gives teachers a SMART Board!

Teachers will find a lot of great ideas on how to teach poetry and how to make it more fun!  It offers a variety of poems and activities.

Being a member of this honor society, I have access to many different educator resources.  Here I can talk with other teachers, find lesson resources and many other great things.

This is the National Council of Teachers of English.  Teachers of all levels can come here to stay up-to-date with the goings on of English as well as find lesson and teaching resources.  Students and parents are also welcome!

This is the International Reading Association.  This is much like the NCTE site because educators will find an array of resources. The best part of this site is its children and young adult literature book lists!

This is a fun educational website for students.  Students can come here to play and learn.  All subjects are addressed.

This is a neat tool for anyone.  It's a very cool visual thesaurus. This is especially handy for students who are writing papers.

This is a great resource primarily for teachers.  My favorite thing about this site is the wide variety of creative resources for teaching.

This is another teacher resource.  It has a wide resource of lesson plan ideas as well as other neat things like technology integration.

This student site is good for assisting kids on how to write a story.  I wouldn't necessarily use this site for my middle school students, but it's a good site for elementary students.

This site advertises that it is for teacher's, parent's and students.  Every student regardless of age, could benefit from the information provided, such as information on college. There are great tips for parents and a ton of teacher resources of all kinds!

This Houghton Mifflin site is great for grades K-8 and is welcoming to kids, parents and teachers. Games and useful information is provided for kids, Homework help and home school information is offered to parents, and of course much more is offered for the teacher. All content areas are addressed here.

Yahooligans and Ask Jeeves Kids are two EXCELLENT search engines for kid.  These sites were designed for kids and allows for "safe" searching.  Kids will not find trouble, misleading or inappropriate content while using these sites.
