REFLECTION This activity we used PowerPoint to create a linear presentation with graphics, motion, and sound. I enjoyed this activity, although I had some difficulty. After combating my problems, I think that I am now more comfortable and familiar with this program. I can do things that I did not think I could do. I liked the "master page" where I can insert a graphic and it would stay with all the pages of the presentation. I also liked that I could get graphics to move around the page. This activity was a challenge for me because the creative part of my mind was not working or maybe it was working plenty. I new the subject I wanted to do it on, but I had a hard time figuring out how I wanted to do the presentation. I had so many ideas, I couldn't find the graphics I wanted, and I became frustrated. But, eventually I figured it all out. I think that I would use this to add some variety to my class. Maybe to illustrate a piece of writing. Have students make presentations. Or I can use it as an addition to lessons I have planned. Or instead, if the technology is available, I an use it instead of overheads. It would be much easier to flip to each page.
