About Installation
If you can find the file with such an informative name, use a regular word processing program to read its content. This informative file usually tells you the minimum system requirements, whether you need to create a new subdirectory, how to install the program, disk space needed, and other important information. Follow the instruction given in the readme files. The next screen capture is the readme.txt file of a software program called ChemLab.
If you simply cannot find any file with such a readme file, use the File Manager or Windows Explorer to locate within the file group the installation file with .exe extension intead. For each zipped files you have unzipped, there should be an installation file. Typical file names are like setup.exe, install.exe, winstall.exe, or a file name that sounds like a program's name. In the following example, the algebra.exe is the installation file of an algebra program called Algebrax.
Click on the name "algebrax.exe" to start the installing the software program..Sometimes the installation procedure will ask you where you want to intall the new programs to. Always remember where you installed the program.. It is a good idea to write down at least the name of the file so if you forget its location, you can search for the name on your computer.
Once the program is installed successfully, it's ready for you to use.
Note: Some system configurations may encounter problems running the demos and shareware.
